Hey I'm Back! Had a wonderful trip on the mountain. I'll give you a brief rundown of the days events.

Friday: Slept at the church.

Saturday: woke up at 4am. Had bananas for breakfast and got into discussion about if they are really good for you or not. Boys took turns in the three vehicles. Got to High Falls, Ga about 3pm. Really hot and we swam in the river there.

Sunday: Drove to Saluda, NC. Got to Camp Bob Hardin about 2pm. Set up bunks and took swim test. Had 1st meal in the dining hall. Bananas were mentioned here and there.

Monday: 1st day of classes for the boys. Really buzy all day. I think half the boys missed a class by getting lost or loosing their buddies. The Scoutmaster got sick and our Asst SM took over for the rest of the trip. Found bat in adirondak. Bananas made it into every conversation.

Tuesday: Much better, boys were more organized, started to use the Patrol method more. The three younger ones slept in tents with the other upward bound kids in the class. Although I don't think any one really slept due to the fact they were told the campfire story of Wilamina and how she was strangled at camp... More banana talk all day.

Wednesday: 4th of July, My brothers and their families made it to camp about 1pm. I made them walk the huge circle around camp but they did not seem to mind. We went to Crackle Barrel for lunch. Then the Troop went to Pizza Hut and ice cream and to watch the fire works. In the parking lot the boys all played baseball with a broken canoe paddle. We all went Bananas!

Thursday: Hygene day... the boys had two contest, one was who could brush their teeth the fastest and the other was who could get clean the fastest. Classes went on as usual. We had a campfire and Mr. O'Quinn told the Pork and Beans story. It was also laundry day. Older boys were done with Bananas but the younger ones were still Banana crazy.

Friday: Boys did makeup classes and hung around camp. The SM went to a walk in clinic, he had broncitis, ear infection, and throat infection. We had the big campfire and the boys did a skit. Turned out really funny. At Dinner one of the boys mentioned Bananas at formation and we all laughed.

Saturday: Ate last meal at camp then we started for the Nantahala river. Set up camp and went to the river to check it out and buy stuff. Had the three youngins cook foil packs, really good. Bananas really died down today.

Sunday: Went White Water Rafting with the help of one guide named Michael from Paddle Inn River Rafting. The woman who helped us goes by the name of "Mom". She was funny. Then we drove back to High Falls, Ga. and Set up camp. Younger ones still tried to keep Bananas at the top.

Monday: Drove all day. For lunch we had pb & j and we did our thorns and roses for the trip. I was thankful for Bananas.

And that was the trip.
