CHOP!

I really thought that it was just my son and his buddies that said "CHOP". I was so wrong.
Yesterday I volunteered to accompany my son's 8th grade class to the beach. We are walking down the halls to his homeroom and like thirty kids are high fiving him and calling out his name. Which is funny cause he always says he has no friends. Anyway, we finally make it to the beach and he eventually ditches me and hangs out with his buddies. I find a nice little corner out of the way and relax for a couple of hours.
Around lunchtime, I seek out a shady spot by a lake on the other side of the parking lot and eat lunch and watch the ducks. (For those familiar with the area - it was Laudermilk Park - where my family + Rachel, once had a photo shoot when we were about 13)
I stopped by the consession stand to buy a soda and I hear the girls behind me talking. Then I hear it. CHOP! A bunch of times. I turn to look at them and they were not even from Ricky's school. They had on t-shirts from the other school that was on a field trip at the same time.
About 1pm I caught up with Ricky and his buddies all talking to some of the teachers. We left shortly after that. It was a good time for all the kids.

I have not felt like cooking all week.

My boss did not pay me for the memorial day holiday. He paid everyone else so I called him about it and he said that because I am part time, I don't get it. He also added that I normally don't work on Mondays anyway.
Thing is though, he never informed me prior to this that I would not be getting holiday pay. So I looked on the calender and I see that I also won't be getting paid for the forth of July but I should get Thanksgiving and Christmas beacuse they are both on Thursdays. But wait there is still the idea that I am only part time. Shucks. (He didn't even use the "company has no money" excuse this time. Guess he didn't want to have to apologize this time.

Had a nice Memorial weekend. I think the boys are just realising that school will be out this Thursday. They are being nice to each other lately. Or it could be that I posted two new rules on the fridge. No hitting and No cussing. 30 minute timeout. I have had to put them in timeout only twice each in the last week or so. And not at all in the last couple of days. Yay.

Remember when I told you about "That's a neck" and how my son Ricky used to say it a lot. Well now the word is "Chop" and he finishes that off with a chop to the back of your neck. His friends all do it and this morning my three year old Chase did it too.
I asked Chase if he needed to change his diaper. He said "No". So I came back with "But you have been wearing it all night." He says "Chop". I look down at him and he realises that he was on to something and he says it again "Chop!" And I'm like *"Awe - H E double hockey sticks - No" and as soon as Ricky got out of the shower I told him about it and he goes and gives Chase a high five and knuckles. As if!

Ok I am the worst person to have in the car when you get pulled over. I imediatly tell the officer everything I was doing wrong so he can write the tickets up faster. Seriously!
I was rushed out the door this morning so I just grabbed the keys and Chase. I drop the boys off at school, literally one block away from the house and was on my way back home when the cop makes a u-turn and flips on his lights. I realize that I don't have my seatbelt on, so I know I am doomed.
I pull over (on my own street) and roll down the window. I smile really big and say "I'm not wearing my seatbelt." To which the cop says " No and you were speeding in a school zone." I say "Really" He says "Yeah, 30 in a 25!"
So after I confess that I don't have anything with me like my license or my registration and that I don't actually live where my license says I do, he finally comes back to the car and gives me a ticket for not wearing my seatbelt. I swear the next time I get pulled over I will try to keep my mouth shut.

That stupid GM at work is an A-Hole. He actually came back from a job today with a new red truck. Like we would not have known that he was using company time to go and pick this personal equipment up. Not only that but he had to go to the bank to get the cash to pay for it and he tells me this like its no big deal. He gets 50% of the entire payroll for the entire company and he uses company time to do personal things too. Not only that but during his lunch he had his helper follow him home so he can drop off his harley and then they stopped at subway and ate here in the office for 1/2 hour. WTF! I really don't know whats worse, him bragging about the stupid truck of him using company time to buy it.

*I did not really say awe hell no to my three year old are you kidding me. That was just for story sake. Really!

The hooking thing is not working out. I keep loosing track of the number of tricks and my pimp is taking all my money. I have to find something else to do. Maybe the library is hiring?

Rick is out of jail and up to his old tricks again. I refuse to let him come by the house and he is still throwing idle threats my way. He called me today to apologize for the way he acted on Tuesday night. He says he got a job but of couse its a holiday weekend and he don't start till Tuesday now. Gee, have I heard that before?

I have talked to Doug quite a few times now since he found me on myspace. He sounds exactly the same as he did way back yonder. He told me that I broke up with him on Valentines day and never gave him an answer as to why. I really have no recolection of that at all. And since it was about 17 years ago I don't think I will have an answer for him. I think he is over it though. lol. It's been really nice talking to him and I hope to continue our friendship.

School is almost out and the boys will be going away for summer camp two weeks. Ricky wants to sign up for high school football and they start practice next week. He has to get a physical before then though. This weekend we are having a hot dog sale at a hardware store to raise more money for summer camp. A last ditch effort. Should be a good time since its a holiday weekend.

Wish us luck!

I have been plugging along.

Sunday was Jarrett's 13th Birthday. Yay! He wanted to take his friend Tyler and Ricky to the water park. So after deciding to forgo my wood badge reunion we headed for the water. Chase and I went to the kiddie part of the park for most of the day and we met up with the boys when it was time to eat. We had a great time and I was the only one to get a sunburn. I made sure to spray down all the boys and they were supposed to do my back...they must have been in a hurry cause I am toasted.
Later on we went back to our house for pizza, cake and ice cream. Jarrett was pretty happy about everything.

I have to go to court with Ricky about him missing school. And guess who is home from school today...Yep both the boys woke up this morning with belly-aches. What am I to do?

Rick has been writing the boys letters from jail. Ricky threw out the first ones without even opening them. Jarrett never even saw them. Their Nana asked if they wanted to go see him and they both said no.

I think I am going to take my co-workers advise finally and start hooking. I am about to be evicted and again find myself with no where to go. So I need some serious money quick!
