long time no talk

That said, I will wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.

I am still at Mom's house and it is driving me bonkers. I want my own place sooo bad. And simply put I just do not have the money to move out. I am slowly realising that my mom wants me to move to NC whether I want to or not. I could use some cool air and stuff but I will know no one and I find it difficult to meet people even here. I really do not know if that is the best thing for the boys either. But we will have to see.

In other news, Rick is still in the pokie and Scout and Feret went to see him on Christmas eve. Rick's mom took them. He is still writing letters to the boys and even to my mom too.

Scout has been suspended from school again. he won't go back till Jan 16th. I don't know what they will do next time but he will be out of that school for sure. I don't know what to do to keep him from getting into trouble either. He is a great kid but most of the other kids know that he will fight back and they do things to agrivate him.

I wish I had all the answers!!!

Anyway, Christmas was ok. I really wanted to get the boys more stuff but it just didn't happen this year. On top of that my mom had the brilliant idea to put her ten huge boxes of new pots and pans under the tree with the stuff from santa, so that when the boys woke up they thought they had more stuff than they really did. Feret was so excited when he saw all the gifts. But when we finally handed out all the presents there was more for my mom than the kids. Well except Baby cause he's way easy to buy for and his stuff is cheaper. I just wish she had put her stuff under the tree earlier so the boys wouldn't count that stuff as part of their gifts. Some people just don't grow up I guess. Oh by the way I did not buy myself anything this year. I know that My brothers always get me a gift certificate so I was counting on that. Sure enough Kevin got a a $50 GC for JC Penney's. NICE! Each of the boys got $20 for wal-mart and $25 from Target. Scout and Feret already asked if they could trade me for cash!?! We'll see.

Well I can't think of anything else to say so I guess I'll talk to ya later?!?

Wow I can't believe that is has almost been a month since I posted. I have been really busy and all but I should have had time to post. Well I guess not huh?

Scout went to the Keys last weekend and they were supposed to go snorkling but the waves were too big so they could not go.
I had to go to the Wal-mart to get some shampoo and groceries and other stuff. Rick met us (Feret and Baby and I) there but I could tell it was going to be a long night. He started off wanting some money and I told him no, then he wanted me to go in the store then he wanted to make a big scene in the store then we came outside and he made a big scene outside then he wanted to take Feret to his house and I would then have to follow him out there, then he was slaming doors and cussin' then we heard police sirens, then I left and then we (Feret Baby and I went to eat at McDee's, the the cop called me on my phone, then we went back to Wal-mart to answer questions, then Rick got taken to jail then I was HAPPY!
He was charged with violating both the restraining order and his state probation.
His mother Lucy (God love her) had to go see him and he is back to making promises. He even had the nerve to tell me that he was not mad at me! What? Why would he be mad at me? I did not make a big scene as a matter of fact I did not provoke him in any way to make a big scene.
I'm tired of talking about this now...

Scout had his Court of Honor last night and I finally got one of the Webelos parents to take my place for our meeting so I could go to the CoH. Had a really nice time. There was lots of food afterwards and everyone was glad to take a minute to enjoy scouting.

I asked Feret how his meeting went and he said it was fun. (I had the schedule all written up and all the supplies ready for whoever lead the meeting.) They played a couple of communication games.

When we got home the phone rang and mom was very upset. Come to find out that my 11 year old nefew got hurt during football practice and was being flown to the hospital an hour away. My brother and his ex and his wife and his ex's girlfriend where all going up there. They asked mom if she could go sit with the other kids until they find out what is going on. So I elected to drive 45 minutes to his house (same town but other side). We get there and after about an hour we find out that he just hyper-ventalated after being hit by another kid. Then he put himself into shock. Or something to that effect. They were on their way home. So I was free to go.

On the way home I was doing a little (maybe 7 miles over) the speed limit. So sure enough I see the police car make a u-turn and flip on his lights.
I pull over on the next road and get my license out of my purse and ask Scout to get the registration and insurance out of the glove box.

Police Officer walks up and says: "Do you know why I pulled you over?"
Me: "Because I was speeding?"
P.O.: "Noooo, it's because you have a headlight out!"
Me: "Oh, then I wasn't speeding.
P.O. (as he walks to the front of the car): "Make sure you get that fixed real soon"
Me: "If you kick it it will probably come on!"
P.O. (as he walks back to my window: "I'm not going to kick your car Ma'am!"
Me: "Oh, ok."
P.O. (handing me my license): "You have a good night."
Me: "You too, and I'll slow it down too."
Then we went on our merry way. I can only tell you that after that and all the way home, the boys and I never stoped laughing.
We kept saying stuff like...Scout, do you know why I called you into my office. and then Scout would say because I beat up a 6th grader, stole his lunch money and shoved him in a locker? Noooo, its because you left your bookbag in the lunch room. Ohhhhh.!?
Anyway we were really laughing at the whole thing.

Moral of the story is:

Once in a blue moon, by leaps and bounds, make no bones about it, you can be poor but honest as luck would have it and breathe a sigh of releif. Keep an ear to the ground and your labor of love will catch on hook line and sinker.
(use lots of cliches)

I figured a nice happy color should cheer me up! Well maybe! I have all my posessions in a 10 x 10 storage unit and we are sleeping on the floor of my moms living room (except for Baby - he's in his crib). Yep, I'm homeless, not only that but my car is falling apart. The brake fell off last week and I think the muffler is falling apart.
Scouts is going good. I'm down to 9 boys that show up every week. although we did have to cancel the pack meeting due to some miscommunication about the school lease. We were really ready for that one too. darn.
Rick and I have started seeing each other I know not really the smartest thing i've done buit he has been supportive so far and I really have no other excuse other than I'm completely out of my mind...

I have been so so so busy with everything that I have forgotten to post about it.
In scouts we had our school sign-up night and it was a big success. 27 kids signed up. Biggest number yet.
We had our parent orientation and we got leaders for the Tiger and the Wolf dens. Of course the Webelos have me! We picked our nights to meet and all is good. By now we have all had a den meeting.
Webelos are meeting on Monday nights with the Boy Scouts, They meet from 6:30 to 8 and we meet from 7 to 8. Our first meeting went great but the Scoutmaster complained about the noise so I called our COR and he gave me permission to use another room. So our second meeting the only time we even saw the BS was when we did our flag ceromony then we were off to make rockets. anyway I am not too happy about the whole situation and I hope we can solve it soon. The room we got is way too small for a group of 12 kids and at least 6 parents that stay to watch and help out.
My son Scout turned 13 and I took him and four friends and baby camping last weekend. It poured down rain and all our gear got soaking wet. we set up two tents and a dining fly. The wood we brought with us was drenched. The boys made a fire with cardboard boxes from the food we brought but could not keep it lit for more that a few min. at a time. About 10pm one of the boys broke the zipper in one of the tents and we could not replace or fix it. The boys took my tent and I slept in the car with Baby. He was still up at 1 in the morning so I took some of the boys with me and we rode around the park and he fell asleep in the car seat. I tried to sleep but then we had a racoon get into the cooler that one of the boys left out after they got a jello out. He ate out eggs but nothing else. But the eggs were our breakfast. The baby woke up about four more times during the night and I drove him around the park each time to get him back to sleep. I finally got about an hours worth myself at 5am but then I figured it was useless and I got out of the car and started cleaning up camp. We had bacon and hotdogs for breakfast. Oh yeah and fruit cups. I have to say that Yes, I would do it again. No, I would not want to bring Baby unless I also brought the portable crib and his sippy cup! One ther was no room for the crib and two he was not supposed to come with us in the first place but grandma did not agree with keeping him overnight.
We put an ad in the paper for workers and a guy called and left his name. The name was familiar to me from h.s. but I could not fathum that it was the same guy. Yet he came to the office and my boss hired him and he starts on monday. This is the same guy I had a crush on way back when and I dont even think he knew I existed. When he came in I did not even look at him I was too nervous. He's like a God or something! jk really.
Scout pushed some kid down at the bus stop and he got in big trouble. The mom pressed charges and now he has 35 hours of community service and he got one day oss and four days EA. (a down-grade from boot camp) I also got a call from the land lord. She informed me that she can't renew my lease. My lease is up on Oct 1st. I have 9 days to move out.
Well that about it for now.
Send prayers!

It's 5 o'clock somewhere

This past week, Feret had been at Tyler's all week and they were going to Tampa for a final fun weekend before school started on Monday. Of course this meant that Scout was a bit pissed that he was not invited and we had to find something to do. So, I joked that we could go to the keys for the weekend. He took me seriously and off we went on Saturday morning.
Now I was under the impression that it only took about four hours to get to the keys. Wrong! It takes about 5 and a half hours. And thats only stopping twice for drinks and peeing. We had a great time driving down there and lots of laughs. Baby slept most of the way and was really good when he was not sleeping.
We found a hotel that had a king sized suite for $200. We opted for the Hampton Inn at $119. Hot breakfast and free HBO (which we did not watch).
Scout took Baby swimming in the pool and I watched from the sidelines. My mom always told me that "there is nowhere to swim in the keys so don't bring your suit". Thanks Mom. They only swam for about a half hour then it was back to the room. I convinced Scout that we needed to walk on Duval Street. He wanted desperatly to rent a scooter of some sort but that was next to impossible unless we had another hundred bucks and another person to watch Baby. Anyway it just wasn't hapenin'. We drove down and found parking for $15 right next to duval and counted ourselves lucky. Loaded up the stroller and away we went.
They were having some kind of lobster fest and had Duval closed off to cars and set up like an art show like we have on 5th ave here. Really neat to walk through. We stopped at one booth and found an interesting Jesus face made of a piece of leather for ten bucks. Five streets later we found out that the baby had also grabbed a small turtle and we promised to bring it back to the Jesus people. It never made it back. I'm sorry we really meant to bring it back. I think the turtle was for incense.
I made Scout stand in front of all the familiar named bars and took his pic. These include: Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville, Hog's breath Saloon, Hard Rock, Sloppy Joe's and some others. And for some reason I was obsessed with the Mile 0 marker for hwy 1. Had to have a pic of that too. We did not get to see the Hemmingway museum although when we were wondering the streets on Sunday morning we passed by it but never went back or came across it again.
All in all the trip was great. Baby had a hard time falling asleep and he could escape out of the crib that the hoel provided but by midnight I think he finally fell asleep. The ride home was really smooth. Scout slept some of the way and we only stopped once for gas and I'm proud to say that I only payed $2.82 a gallon. Yeah I'm that good! We missed the Swamp ape research center on the way back, that guy really needs to put some signs up. I really wanted to see what he had in there.
Made it back home and picked up Feret and had the boys to bed early enough for a school night. Feret went to adventure island and busch gardens while up in Tampa. He brought home a white tiger stature and a photo frame with him slidding off one of the rides.
Even though we were not all together we all had a great time with no regrets. Now how am I going to pay rent again?...

My parents had a great 40th celebration. We all went to church where they renewed their vows although within the first 3 minutes I had to take baby outside because my 17 year old nefew decided to make fun of him and he started crying. Thanks Nick! It was soooo hot out and Baby kept running into all the cars with the stroller. I tried to keep him buzy and I even let him wonder a bit by himself but I was not able to take him back into church.
After that we all went to the Olive Garden for lunch. Yep 15 of us. The waitress was a little confused on who was with who but we got it all worked out in the end. I tried not to claim one of the kids but she caught on real quick. anyway we had a great time. Real funny thing was when my nefew Joey needed to be changed (he's almost three) and so he borrowed Baby's extra pair of pants. Then one of the girls (my niece) picked up Baby and he needed changed as well. He ended up with only a t-shirt on but that was ok since we were leaving anyway.
This past weekend I bought the kit to make a counted cross stitch thing for Rachel. You know the thing with the two little feet and the little duck in the corner. You personalise it with the baby's name and date of birth. Anyway I made one for Joey when he was born and my sister in law becca made on for my Baby. So I wanted to make one for Rach. I stated on Sunday night and worked on it about four hours. Then on Monday I worked on it for about 1 and a half hours at work and then about three hours at home. Tuesday I worked on it for about four hours and finally finished it at 12:30 last night. I put the two girls names on it and just need to wait for then to be born to put the date on. I also added a little dinosaur to it on the opposite side of the duck. I am really glad I did and I hope Rachel likes it. I thought about putting a hand on it but I am not good at making hands!
I have been talking to Rick. I know what your going to say and I completely agree. I have this strange thought in my head that if I start being nice to him that he will give me some child support money. I am really in desparate need of some cash right now and my boss just informed us all that we are closed on friday without pay. darn darn darn. My mom has started calling me on the weekends to see if she can pick something up for us while she's at the store. There's always something to tell her. She had to give me the money for school clothes because both boys schools are mandating uniforms (polos and dress pants or walking shorts) anyway I was able to get them five shirts and five shorts each. Scout also got new socks and under shirts. She also gave me $50 for school supplies which almost got everything they needed. Except bookbags but I'm hoping to get them this weekend. I'm sure this is just a dry spell otherwise I am really going to have to think about moving north. Paradise ain't what it used to be, thats for sure.

This weekend is my parents 40th anniversary! They are by far the happiest couple I know.
I am attending church with them on Sunday along with my brother Kevin and his family. My two other brothers live out of state so they will not be there. Brad is still in Iraq but due home (KY) within the next few months. And Chris lives in NC. They are each married and have two kids. Kevin on the other hand is also married but has seven kids between them. Three are hers, three are his and one is theirs.
Then there is me. Not married and has three kids. But have no fear I am very proud of where I came from and where I am going! Even if I never get out of this tourist town, where the rent is three times anywhere else in the country. Anyway...

I am really happy for my parents to have made it this far together. God bless them!

Why do I do that?

I get way in over my head then wonder why I get so flustered. Oh well, I guess thats just me.

I had a birthday this past weekend, 32. Went to Ft Myers with Scout and Baby to see the Edison/Ford homes and estate. I really enjoy it there. I can just see Edison sitting on that porch with his wife, watching their kids fish off the pier. Really cool place to go. Scout likes the lab part of the museum. Edison worked on so many things in his life. Like rubber, cement, phonograph and of course the light bulb. He had the first pool in Florida and he owned an electric boat.

Danny came by on Sunday night and I kind of gave him the cold shoulder. He is under the impression that I am heartbroken about the whole thing, when really I'm not. I was really confused as to why he so abruply changed his tune, but not heartbroken. After we cleared all that up we went to get something to eat but Baby was wanting to run all over the place so we got it to go. Now I think Danny wants kind of a no strings attached kind of deal. I dont think that is going to happen. Not really my cup of tea, really.

I really need to stop taking things so seriously and find a way to relax. I think I need a vacation.

Boys are stupid

Case in point, Danny...
Friday - never heard from him and my ex still had his phone.

Saturday I go up to his work in the afternoon and he's acting really weird. Asks me to sit down and then says something like "ok, I'm saying this to your face, I just want to be friends" and I'm like where did this come from then he says that its because my kids don't like him. My kids dont understand him thats all anyway he kind of left it at that and did not say anything else. I said I will talk to you later about it and I left.

I called him later that night and he had the nerve to ask "Who is this?". He really did not say anything about anything then he said he was going to bed and will stop by on sunday.

Sunday never heard from him

Monday never heard from him

Now its Tuesday and I want some answers.

I hate boys!

In other news...I found a really easy way to make a silk screen shirt. Made a pattern last night for my cub scouts and it turned out really good, I think. If you want to know how then leave a comment. the whole thing only cost me $25 bucks and its reusable!!!

Don't worry about me, I'm fine, really!

Friday, July 14, 2006

I have tried to write earlier this week but it took too long to publish so I am trying again.
Scout got home from camp last weekend and they had a great time. Even got to see Uncle Chris and the gang on the Wednesday. He already has his pictures in a photo album and everything.

On Monday Danny came over and all he could talk about was what he and my ex did all day. Made me sick. He said that Rick tore up his motorcycle.
Then on Tuesday Rick was calling the phone 50 times. I was trying to be nice but when it came time for Danny to come over, He went home instead, saying that he had not felt good all day, but he was messing around with Rick all day!!
Then Wednesday he came over in the evening and accused me of being rude and inconciderate for not beleiving him.
Yesterday, Thursday he never even came over or called.
and when I called him on my lunch today, Rick answered the phone and said Danny left it there this morning.

I don't really know what is going on with him. I do know that he has not admitted to rick that we are dating. And all the comments he made to me on Wednesday were of the "I don't know how to really break up with you so I'm going to make you think you want to break up with me" kind of things. Like he asked what I would do if he died. How in the hell do I know what I am going to do if he dies. He was trying to make it seem as though we should stop while we're ahead so noone gets hurt or something like that. Crazy shit if you ask me. He said when we first started going out that he did not like Rick any more and now He's with him everyday!

I'm sure this will all work itself out but right now I am feeling kind of crappy about the whole thing like I'm getting stabbed in the back or something. Oh well so goes it...

Two weeks

Yep still not smoking. And on the bright side...I have no problems eating either. You know how they say that when you quit smoking you have problems gaining weight, not me I am gaining weight just fine must have put on 20-25 lbs already. God I hope I can keep this under control, I mean I would hate to start smoking to loose weight...

Forth of July was really great
Friday: worked then took Scout to leave for camp.
Saturday: Steam cleaned the carpet
Sunday: can't remember
Monday: took Baby to sitters and Feret and I went on a hunt for Ice cream. long story short we had a great time and we found 20 bucks on the road. went to estero with Dad Feret Tyler and Baby to watch fireworks. the show was 30 min then it took 2 hours to get home! Danny came up too but I had to find him then park him then walk all the way back. I found a phone then I found the owners of the phone then I lost my phone. Then I found my phone
Tuesday: Went to Parade with Dad Feret Tyler and Baby. went to Mom and Dads for cookout just me and Baby, then met up with Kevin (my brother) and his family for more fireworks Danny was supposed to meet me there but he decided to watch them from across the street.

I was thrilled to have four days off.

One week...

I have survived ONE week of not smoking... yeah!

I am still bored and I think I am forgetting things all the time. But it's just that I would have lit up at that time.

Scout is leaving for camp this Friday. Little D left this morning for the summer at least. So we are down to just Feret and Baby. Feret will likely go to his buddies house on the weekends and I have off on Monday and Tuesday next week for the forth of July.

The kids were scheduled to see their dad on Sunday but when we got there he never showed. The lady there called him and he said he called to cancel on friday night. He said he had some other bills to pay and I told her that I heard he was partying on Friday night. So much so that he could not even talk! Whatever, the kids were not really bothered by it this time, although Scout wanted some extra $ for his trip and their dad said he was going to give him some!

Not too much else going on. Well except that I want some CHOCHOLATE!

Wednesday, June 21, 2006

I know I have not written in a while so I thought that i'd update you. Not too much going on down here but I do have some very good news.

I have quit smoking!

Yep, all last week I kept telling everyone that when I finish this carton of cigs I'm done. They really did not beleive me. I was on my last pack on Monday night and when I woke up on Tuesday morning I smoked one cigerette at 6am and then I prayed to God to help me quit. I said God, give me the strength to not smoke if not for me then for Baby. I have not had one craving. Although I am finding myself very bored! I really need to find something for my hand to do. I made it to work a whole 11 min. early today, wtf. As soon as I got here I started washing everything in site. I even took down the wooden slat blinds and hosed them off outside. Then wiped them down and re-hung them. Its only 9:30 now. What am I going to do for the rest of the day?

Scout is getting ready for summer camp. He leaves on the 30th. It will be a good trip, although there are only five boys going maybe six.
I have not heard if Feret is going to Orlando or not.
And Baby is as sweet as ever. Although with all this rain we have gotten, he has gotten a couple of skeeter bites on his face but they should clear up soon.
So wish me luck on my new adventure of not smoking. I have to say, my will power could take over the world one day! My what a wonderful thing.!

Tuesday, May 30, 2006

Wow I needed that long weekend. Things have been a little strange around the house. Scout was still in denial that I was seeing Danny but he has not said anything for the past week. Yeah! He still has a problem with little D but we are working on that too.
On Saturday I went to lunch with my friend Beth for her b-day. Iguana Mia's. She wanted her free lunch. Then I went home. On Sunday I went with the kids to my brothers house. My other brother and his family were down for the day from NC and it was great to see them. And on Monday I was lazy but I did streighten up the house and tried to take the boys to the park but it started to rain so we left.
The kids dad has been a real butt-head for about the last week and a half. He lost his job and has been going to danny's work to chat. He just realised on Saturday that we are seeing each other and he kinda flipped out. first saying that he was about to get into a fight with danny then saying that I as sneaking around then it was that the kids would get taken away, now its back to can I bring the kids over and can he talk on the phone with them. The anwser to both of those ?'s is NO. I mean the restraining order is a year old now, he knows the rules. As of right now if he wants to see the kids he has to make an apt with the visitation place and he has supervised visitation. They can meet for one hour a week. Last time he set up an apt was six weeks ago.

Monday, May 15, 2006

Had an OK Mothers day yesterday. I as oken up at 7am by Baby and then Scout made me breakfast. Burned eggs and toast and some grits. He said the eggs were bad and thats why they got burned. Feret got me a card and Mom and Dad stopped by on there way the my brothers house for dinner there. But thats where the fun stopped. Scout got into a discussion as to why I need a boyfriend and then Danny came over after work and we got the kids something to eat then he went home. He kind of figured that if the kids don't want him there he is not going to hang around. Pissed me off and I really didn't talk to the boys for a while last night. I havn't talked to him today yet but I hope he comes around. I mean just when I find a good thing someone else dosn't like it. figures. I'm sure this will all pass over.

What was the problem...

We had a very successful Bike Rodeo at the Scout Show on Saturday. I know because I got a sunburn and I sweated my butt off, unfortinatly not literally ; ) !
I showed up with Scout at 8am but then we had to wait around till after the opening ceromony to set up. The scoutmaster Stan showed up and after opening ceromony we had two of my cubs show and four Boy Scouts. Mike from the sheriff's dept showed up and we proceeded to set up our Rodeo. He went through the whole course with our boys and then we started letting the other kids ride through it. We had at least 100 kids go through. Most of them were already scouts but I think about 20% were just visitors.
When a kid came up to go on the course we had someone there to help them find a bike that would fit them then that same person would lead them through the course. All the scouts participated and even had a little fun too. Like when there was some slow times the boys hopped on bikes and had a race.
I never even had a chance to see the other displays and or games that was at the event but when I started hearing kids ask how much does this cost I was releived that we did not charge for our booth. Turns out that the other booths were charging for the games. Then they ended up giving the money to FOS. Which I guess is fine but maybe they should have just asked for a donation instead.
So after all was said and done I don't know what the big deal was for me to get a call from Steve saying that we did not have enough scouts to run a bike rodeo. Not only that but that I was threatened verbally. I never said one word to Steve all day long and he never came up to me to say anything. I personally think we did a great job and think that we deserve some kind of pat on the back. I know it was not the traditional Bike Rodeo in the sense that the kids bring their own bikes but we had nine bikes to pick from. I think the only complaint we got was about the hot hot hot weather. Must have been 100 degrees out with no cloud cover. I got burned even though I put on lotion, twice!
Well at least I don't have to worry about it anymore.
Scout had a Band concert last night. They played really well. Feret and Carlos were supposed to keep the Baby buzy so I could watch the thing but sure enough they were back and left Baby with me. He tried to be patient but the view of the doors to the outside were too much so we walked out for a few min. then he let me come back and watch again.
Danny and I are doing well. He comes over all the time after work and I go see him at work when I get off. I have lucked out and have not had to cook dinner this week at all, Thank God. I really do like cooking but when the kids only eat three things it gets kind of difficult to make them eat and you end up making two dinners. Last night Danny came over and brought me some pink tulips and a card that asked if he can love me forever and ever! Really cute.

I got a disturbing call yesterday that really threw me for a loop...

The Scout Troop and Pack decided a few months ago to sponsor a Bike Rodeo at the Scout show. We met up with the guy from the dept. and he came to talk to the boys about what he does. We were all set to do this thing and the I got the call
"Hello, Listen I just want you to know that this Mikes carreer is resting on your shoulders and that if we don't have a good showing of boys there that the county is going to pull funding and he will loose his job."

All I could say is "OK." and all I was thinking was, talk about putting the preasure on me!
I called our committee chair and asked for the Scoutmasters pone number. I breifly explained everything that I was told to her and she said that we can only do so much. I called the Scoutmaster and he told me he would call all the boys again to make sure they show up. I went about my business and made the sign for the rodeo and when I was on my way home I got another call from the scoutmaster and he said he called the guy in the dept and he told him everything was ok. I am terrified that this is going to blow up in my face. Our group has never been to a bike rodeo so I thought that all we had to do was help grade the kids and give them pointers about riding their bikes. The guy who called me said that we are supposed to run the entire thing and the dept guys are only supposed to give us pointers.
Anyway, two days ago I was only worried about how I was going to get water and ice to the event, now I have to make sure that I have all my scouts there to run this thing. The scoutmaster assured me that I have nothing to worry about but I am a nervous wreck. I dont think I will plan another event! Seriously!
Right now I only wish that this entire thing was over and done with It makes me sick to my stomache that he would put all this pressure on little ole' me! I thought I would be fine with taking the baby but now I have to scramble to see if I can find a sitter on one days notice.
On another note-Danny and I are doing really good. He has been coming over almost every day and I have cooked more at home than I have in the past month. He started back to work but is already finding that on the days he goes to dialisis he is really tired after work. He is staying over tonight because someone has to wake him up to make his Dr appt. He wears a hearing aid and when he takes it out he can't hear the alarm. Should be interesting since I have not had another adult sleep over in over a year. And no we are not planning on having sex yet. We are both taking this really slow, good and slow.

Finally

I think I told you about the guy. Well we have started dateing. We have gone out to dinner and he even went to the grocery store with me. I cooked dinner for him last night. We had a salad and spaggetti with meat sauce and garlic bread, I even made cookies. Then I had to go to a Cub Scout meeting so we met up later and watched some t.v. together. He is soo nice. His son gets along with my boys although I'm not sure he's too keen on the Baby! We have been having fun getting to know each other although he says I need to talk more. His son even went with Scout to a Boy scout meeting on monday. Don't know if he will go again, he already told them that he can't go to summer camp cause he has to leave as soon as school gets out to see him mom in KY. It has been an interesting two weeks, and I'm looking forward to more.
I found out on Monday that the kids dad just got a Harley motorcycle. How can he do that? He owes me so much child support it's not funny. I don't think it will last long, he said his boss co-signed for him. He never stays at a job for very long so I guess we will see what happens. This just p - me off cause I'm driving an eighteen year old car thats too small and he's has a luxury item...

Hoppy Easter

Ok, Last Friday night I called Danny cause I had not heard from him all week since he fixed my radio on Monday. So he came over with his son and we decided to watch a movie at my place. Holy Crap, is that a date? How the heck do I know. We all know I have been out of the loop for a year now. Anyway, Scout got mad at me cause he wanted to go to the China Buffet. I ordered him some pizza and he ended up staying over a friends house. We watched the movie although Danny ended up leaving before it was over.
Saturday I get a knock at the door and its the kids dads stepdad. He brought over some easter baskets and a big bunny for the kids and flowers for me. He tells me that they are from Rick and I almost threw them away. The boys went to see their dad for an hour at the visitation place and Scout said that they asked the lady if they could talk on the phone and she told them yes. Well of course on Sunday Scout calls up his dad and they chat for a while and then he starts asking things about me. Not cool. We went to my parents house and had a nice visit then we went to Ferets friends house in the Gate. Had a great dinner and the kids fished. I even had a Easter egg hunt there. Brought my own filled eggs and hid them in the yard. The kids liked it. It was too late to go back to mom and dads house so the kids and I just went home. I called Danny again cause I had not heard from him but he did not answer. He showed up about an hour later. We talked a little and then he went home. I hope I am not reading too much into this whole Danny thing. I think we are going out, and I do like him, but I guess I'm used to seeing my boyfriend everyday. Not just once a week. Maybe it will change with time. I want to get to know him more and stuff. and with three kids running around its kinda hard. He told me last night that he will take me out on Friday night. He wants me to get a sitter. We'll see...

Here comes the Easter Bunny! Yesterday Scout, Baby and I went down to Marco to the annual Easter egg hunt put on by my friend Beth's sister Tammy and her mom at their home. There were about 50 kids there. Baby had his first hunt for eggs and all he wanted to do was shake them! Timmy gave Baby all his eggs that had toys in them. Then each kid draws a number and they get to go and choose a prize from the prize room. Timmy again gave his prize to Baby and so did Scout. And when it was Baby's turn I picked out the toy that Timmies mom Beth wanted and gave it to her. After all that all the kids went swimming. They also had cake and munchies. It was a great party.
On Saturday I took Baby, Scout and two of his friends to the Mall. I bought some cute clothes and Scout also got an outfit. While I was waiting for the boys I called my friend Rachel but got no answer so I left a message. The boys were done at the mall so we went home. Rachel called me back while we were still in the car. I found out that she is having twin girls in August. I am so happy for her. Talking to Rachel is like talking to my brother thats in Iraq. She is my Hero. Ok not quite the same but she's way up there. Anyway she had mentioned how she wants to get down to see her brother who still lives down here. Don't forget to look me up Rach, ok!

Last post I told you about a great guy that would be coming to the Pack meeting on Thursday. Well, he never showed and I just spoke with him today and he had a very good excuse for not coming.
A couple of weeks ago there was another officer that got shot in the shoulder while he was in plain clothes and no on around. They had the entire area closed off and even closed two schools while they were looking for a suspect. After the investigation they determined that the injury was self inflicted. Then last week on Tuesday the deputy was fired for lying on the police report. On Wednesday he was picked up for DUI. And on Thursday they found him Dead in his home with self inflicted wounds.
Now all the above was in the newspaper so if there are any mistakes please excuse me.
So When I talked to the guy that is coming to the meeting he said that all the police were pulled from the street and not allowed to work that day. We rescheduled for later this month and it will still be in enough time to prepare the boys for the event.
The Boy Scouts had a pancake breakfast on Sunday and made about $600 for summer camp. They have another car wash on the 22nd so that should lower the parents costs for camp. They are planning on going to NC this year.
In Ferrets Den we are working on Engineer. I brought a blueprint in from work and showed the boys all the different things that go into building a house. I also got some ideas from them as to how we should complete the next task of making their own blueprint. They have also filled up their bead staff. So a movie party is in store for them. Now we just have to set a date and time. We are going to watch Down and Derby.

What the heck is up with last weekend? I have to say I have been on an emotional rollercoaster.
On Saturday we started out early. A friend from scouts was having a yard sale and I brought some stuff over there to sell. Got there at about 7:30 am. Had to leave at 8:45 am to go to a scout thing. We walked around the neighborhood and handed out bags for Scouting For Food. Got done with that about 11:30 am. Went back to the yard sale and finished that up about 12:15 pm. I ended up making about $95.00 there and had a lot less to take home. My biggest sale was the baby swing for $30. I had a lady buy a lot of baby clothes and I sold a lot of baby toys too.
After the yard sale we went back to the house for a bit before we went to the pool. We spent about two hours there and of course I got burnt. Ferets friend stayed over at the house but the next morning Feret was in a terrible mood and his friend went home by 9am.
About 11am I took Feret and Baby to the store to do some grocery shopping. We were on our way back home about to turn on our street when I get pullled over by the police. I apparently did not pay a seat belt ticket a few months back and I had a suspended license. He gives me a break and asked if I had someone to pick me and the kids up. I call my Dad and we load everything into his car. My car gets towed and I have to find a ride to get all this taken care of. The officer said that if I didn't have the kids in the car I would have gone to jail!
So the boys missed out on seeing their Dad and they were pissed at me. I had to call my Ex-Step-mother-in-law (for the record Rick and I were never married and Nancy is married to his Dad) Anyway she agreed to taking me around town to get my license back and to get the car. It took five hours! I made it to work at 3pm. But I am all legal Eagle now so I guess it was worth it, at least I didn't have to ask her for money!
Tuesday was a Den meeting night and it went really well besides the fact that some of the boys were late and my son did not even come. We ended up making bridges out of toothpicks and caramel. The boys had a great time.
Thursday is our Pack meeting and we have a guest speaker coming. I met him at the Boy Scout meeting on Monday and he is really good. Scout had to interview someone for communication merit badge and he did a great job. He acctually came to the meeting to discuss the bike rodeo we are doing at the scout show. He works with the police dept as a community awareness deputy. I don't know his actual title so I'm kind of winging it. sorry! Anyway our Pack of Cub Scouts and the Troop of Boy Scouts are helping him put this on at the Scout show in May. So he is coming to let us know how we can help.
By the way Scout assed his Board of Review on Moday and is now a First Class Scout. Yeah!
My friend Danny came over on Monday night just as we were leaving for scouts and he told me that he had a heart attack and booth his kidneys and his liver failed. Now I know what your thinking How can you call someone your friend and not know that that happened. Thing is I am very shy and I don't usually call anyone unless I have news that I know that that person wants to hear. On top of that Danny wheres a hearing aid and he can't hear shit on the phone! So I hope that explains why I did not know. Anyway he told me that he has to do dialisis four times a week and each time he has to be there for four hours. Wow that really stinks.
I better go now. Talk to ya'll later

ouch!

Ok, I have worked at this mirror and glass place for 2 and a half years and today is a first. I cut myself on a piece of glass! Can you believe it?
I had some questions on an order that came in wrong and asked Tom what the deal was. He showed me the pieces that needed to be returned and we were moving them to a central spot in the shop. He moved the first one and I grabbed the second one and as I grabbed it I noticed a faint stinging in my right hand. Felt like a paper cut. I only had to move the piece about four feet but that was enough. I could feel the weight of the glass slide into my fingers. On the palm side of my hand right where my fingers crease I have three cuts on my index, middle, and ring fingers. Hurts like hell. Then a little while later I was showing it to Tommy (different than Tom) and he suggested that I put alchohol on it. I told him no way, that will sting. He promised that it will hurt for a minute but then it will feel better. I told him again no and slowly held out my hand. Holy crap that stings. I can't beleive I just did that. I was shaking my hand and he tells me to blow on it. About a minute later I had no pain so I guess it was worth it. But it sure did hurt.
I have seen some really bad cuts around here. One guy that was delivering some glass came into the office and asked for a bandaid. His cut was about four inches long and he couldn't get it to stop bleeding. I said are you sure you don't need to go to the hospital and he tells me no it'll be fine. That was the last time I seen him.
Another guy had just gotten married the week before but did not take any time off for a honeymoon. He was cutting some glass in the shop on Friday morning and a piece jumped off the table and attacked his leg. No one saw the attack but he was out of work for three months and then we found out that he wasn't worth a shit so we never hired him back. Everyone agreed that he just wanted some time off to be with his peribian wife.

Not too much else going on in my neck of the woods. Noel has asked me to marry him several times and he has even set a date, April 22. I'll try to keep ya posted on that but since we have not even dated I don't see this happening!

We had a fun meeting last night!

The boys in my den are starting to work on the engineer activity pin and last night was a good start.

On Monday I was looking for some ideas for making a catapult on line and found a sort of sling shot thing the boys could make by lashing some wood and adding rubber bands. It was an idea that stuck with me for the rest of the day. That night I had a parent meeting for the troop but Baby was being more difficult than usual so I left early and took him for a ride in the car. We went to a hardware store just down the street to waste some time. I found some small pullies and then I remembered that great idea. I bought some string and wood stakes, the kind you use for tomatoes. I had the guy cut the wood for me. Then I went back to the meeting and picked up Scout.

Last night, Tuesday, I brought my supplies and started talking to the boys about the pin we would be working on. I showed them the drawings I found online and they were really excited about it. So we started to make the huge sling shot. I had each of them helping with building it. It was a little difficult for them to do the lashings by themselves but with my help they finished in just under an hour. All the while they kept asking who was going to take it home. They all wanted to keep it at their house. Finally finished they each took a turn using it. Our meeting usually end at 8 o'clock but this one kept going till all the boys had two turns. To say the least, the boys really enjoyed this one.

On a sad note, one of my scouts came to the meeting late and told us he would not be coming anymore due to the fact he was moving to another town. The boys were a little saddened by this. They asked him if he was still staying in their school and if they would still see him there. He did not even stay for two minutes. But he said bye to everyone and brought us the Den Staff. He was the Denner last month and they get to bring the Den Staff home each week and carve their name into it. The Den Staff is also used to hold all the beads for attendance. Each time a scout comes to a meeting he gets five beads. He earns two more beads for wearing his uniform.

On another note, we finally got the internet hooked up at home. And even though it is cable and not dial-up the boys still say its too slow. figures!

I need to start planning for the Pack meeting at the end of the month. We will definattly be bringing the sling shot. And we will have the trophies for pinewood derby to hand out too. Wonder what else we could do?...

attention race fans

Feret had his District Pinewood Derby last night. There were tons of people there. You could hardly walk through the place. It was held at the mall in a large hallway. The track was set up on one side and it was on a platform. I could not even see it from where we were! We watched the first couple of races then we went to get something to eat in the food court. When we came back we noticed that the people had really cleared out. I guess we took a while eating cause the races were almost over. I looked on the table where the cars were and seen Ferets car there. Next to it was a 3rd place trophy, a patch, and a metal. He had won third place and we missed it. I got the attention of one of the guys behind the rope and asked if they were done with his car. He made a point to congradulate Feret and handed us the car and trophy. Feret really liked the trophy, he even posed for a picture, which is not like him to gather attention to himself.
After the race we went to visit my mom in the hospital. She had back surgery on Monday and had a problem with the pain medication they gave her. She was feeling better though. Feret brought his trophy with him to show Grandma and Grandpa. Grandpa was really happy since he helped Feret cut the wood for the car. We stayed for a bit then went home because Baby was getting into everything and pushing buttons. Plus Mom was falling asleep and the boys had school in the morning.
I called the school to find out if I could put an anouncment about our recent races. They had already put out the March issue (even though I have not seen it yet). So it won't get in till April 1st. Maybe some parents will see the newsletter and join their son up for scouting! Couldn't hurt.

I almost forgot about the car

I did get a new (to me) car. I ended up buying my nefews car, a blue camry. It's way too small has no air or radio and has one white door. Not that I'm complaining that my brother Kevin ripped me off or anything. But, he could have dropped the price down to what the car is actually worth. It also needs (right away) an alignment, balance and rotation of the wheels and two new side view mirrors. Oh and did I mention the breaks need new rotors?
Anyway it's a cute (read that - small) car that will get me to work and scouts and anywhere else I need to go.

I went last saturday to do the wheel stuff to the same place I got my tires at for my last car. The guy tells us (Scout, Baby, and I) that it will be about 1 1/2 to two hours. So we walked accross the six lanes of traffic to a plaza and window shopped at Radio Shack and Goodwill. Found nothing. About an hour and a half later we make it back across the street (keep in mind that I did not have my stroller for the baby and I was exhasted from holding him). Only to see my car still parked in the same spot. So I go in and ask what is going on and he tells me he will check on it. Ten minutes later he comes back and says they are working on it now. So we sit in the waiting room and watch some t.v. Scout had changed the channel and then the guy changed it back. Never even asked if we were watching it or anything! So Baby was getting into too much stuff and falling off chairs so I thought I would take him outside. Lo and behold when I get outside My car is still sitting there. So I march back in and ask him what is going on and he goes outside to check. He comes back in and informs me that my car keys started up another camry and that is where the mistake was.

Wait a minute, did he just say my keys started up another car? I didn't think that that was possible. So he tells me that I will have to wait a little longer and I told him that I need to go and that I would be back some other day when there was not another camry to confuse my car with. Damn I was pissed. The baby needed changed and Scout wanted to go to the mall. I hadn't had a car for a week and I had to waste 2 hours on a Saturday to get nothing done.

I still have not gotted the thing fixed and now my key is acting up. It is really difficult to put in and I spend five minutes trying every time I get into that car. So, do I go back to the same place or forget about him and go somewhere else?

I am happy to have wheels again and maybe I am just stressed about the whole ordeal but my goodness will something go right for once?

I'm an ass man...

I think thats a theme song for a wrestler...could be wrong tho. Anyway I'll get to my point.
My brother Brad is serving in Iraq for the Army. He's been in the Army since he stepped out of high school in 87'. He is serving his third term in Iraq and he has also been in the Gulf war. Needless to say he's a Veteran of our wonderful country. His duty in Iraq is fueling airplanes and ground vehicles on a makeshift airport. Last time I talked to him he built a tower for the guys working with his crew.

My Mom just called me and told me that he was given a new title for his job. And just keep in mind that to make things easier (or secretive?) the Army used abreveations for everything. ie: pt = personal training and ssg = staff sargent. Anyway, back to his new title... Airfield Service Supervisor otherwise known as ASS.

Aparently the guys he works with are really on him about this. They try to work ASS into every conversation. Like two guys will be discussing something and the one guy will say "I'm not sure, you will have to ask my ASS." So again needless to say my brother Brad is the Butt of the joke. Yes, pun intended.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he is in on it too. Brad always makes me laugh. He will go on and on about something and then you realise that it is totally false and he was just seeing how much you would believe. He knows my Mom is very gulibleso he really yanks her chain. He is always joking around. The last time he was down in July 05' He was fishing with the kids out back at my Moms house and he comes running in with a fish hook hanging out of his mouth and yelling for help. Yep it was a joke.

Hey I just thought of something maybe he was just yanking Moms chain again. Who cares anyway, its funny as all get out! I can't wait for a call from Brad. I miss him terribly.

Long time, no talk

I can't beleive I have not posted in 11 days, you guys must be missing me?! I can see that I did not get any responses to my Valentine request! I did however receive roses for V day. Danny gave then to me. And although we are not really seeing each other it was a sweet gesture.
The Cub Scouts had their Pinewood Derby on Sunday. My son Feret won first place in his den and in the pack race as well. He will go on to race at District on March 7th. His car came in 1st in every race it was in!
My car was reposessed on Friday and I had to drive all the way to Port Charlotte to pick up my things. I was stressing for about an hour after I found out but then I realised this is the best thing that has happened to me. I will be able to start fresh with no car payment. A guy at work has a brother that has a Mustang for sale and the price is almost right. Other than not having a car this week things are going fine.
Baby was sick with the "pukes and shoots" this past weekend but he is good to go now. I just hope the other two boys don't get it!
I have yet again been promised money from their Dad. Don't worry I am not holding my breath!
My Mom has been giving me a ride to and from work so at least I can still do that. I Love You Mom and Dad. Your the Best!
My Mom has had some Dr's apointments latly and they tell her that she needs surgery on her back. Something like fusing the spine bones together. She will be doing it in the mddle of March! Say a Prayer for her , will ya.
Ok, I'm gonna get back to work. I'll let you know about the car when I find out more.

Friday, February 10, 2006

Not too much going on these days. Keeping busy though. I despretly need to spring clean my house. It's hard to do when the kids are there though, they always have the t.v. on or are playing on the computer or something. Very distracting.
Valentine's day is coming up this Tuesday. And we all know that I don't have one so I would appreciate some "I Love You"s! Even if you don't really mean it! Ok that is just a joke. I don't need any un-necesary love comments. I know my three sons will love me for the rest of their lives so that good enough for me!
ta ta for now...

Hello Lady

Busy as usual. Had our Blue and Gold Dinner and I think every thing was great. Good food, great people and lots of awards. I also filed our recharter. Lots of chasing down signatures but its all done. We are down to ten scouts, of which six are in my den. I must be doing something right!
This month is our Pine wood derby and I have yet to pick up the track. I finally got ahold of the leader who has it and got her address so I think I will try for this weekend.
Yesterday my car ran out of gas on the way to work. I managed to start it back up and prayed I would make it across six lanes of traffic to the gas station. It really was a surprise to me. This morning I dropped the boys off and headed to work and all of a sudden I hear this loud bang. Then I look in my rear view mirror to see what happened and all I saw was smoke. I had terrible flashbacks to when my Mustang caught fire in Ft. Myers a long time ago. So I pulled over. I thought for sure it was a tire but the tires were fine. I popped the hood and see that the water hose had split and was no longer attached to the radiator. Damn! I looked it the trunk for some duck tape but found none. I was about 5 miles from work so I high-tailed it out of there and by the time I got to work the car was overheating. I knew I shouldn't have said anything about getting a new car while it could hear me! The guys at work took a look at it and told me what part I needed so I called the auto parts stores and none of them had one. Finally I found one that did and when I was on the hone with him the guy at work comes in with this shredded wire and rubber thing. It was the belt from the water pump! Damn again! Then 10 min. later I get a call from the school nurse. I have to pick up Feret cause he's running a fever. So no car to drive and no boss in the office. I call the manager and tell him I have to take one of the company trucks to pick up my son. He tells me to lock the front door and so that what I did. I picked up the hose but they didn't have the belt. So I went to get my son and then I dropped him off at home. Then I went to work but on the way there was another parts store on the way so I stopped in there to get a belt. Now I have to wait for the guys at work to get back to the shop so they can fix it. What a day!
Hopefully this weekend will be better!

HAPPY 100TH POST

This is my 100th post, boys and girls! I know it seems as though it was only yesterday that I started this pathetic little journal. But lo and behold I tell no lies. So I will grace this post with the very thing I started it with. Complete and utter, absolute nonsence that will mean nothing to you as a person! Glad I can help, now onward with the stupidness...

I went camping this weekend as I warned you I would. We did have one boy who cancelled but there were five others that had a blast of a weekend. We set up camp at Caloosahatchee Regional Park on Saturday morning. We were catererd by the Boy Scout troop. They cooked us hambergers and mac and cheese for lunch on Saturday after we set up our tents. They got there on Friday night. After lunch we did a three (yes I said three) mile hike on some wonderful trails. After the hike the boys did some fire building and then the acting Scoutmaster, Jim, had them help with preparing dinner. They cut vegtables and even made a cake in a dutch over. Peach Cobbler. The rest of the day was really fun, the boys played football and capture the ball. (we used to call it smear the queer but changed the name) There was another Cub Scout pack camping next to us and all of those boys found their way to our campsite to play ball too. Must have been a good 25 kids playing. We had dinner which was I guess a roast beef stew that cooked all day, yum! After dinner we had a campfire. We had a contest between the four Boy Scouts and the five Cub Scouts to see who could come up with the best skit. The cub Scouts went first. Then the Boy Scouts. The adults voted and decided that the Cub Scouts won, yeah! Then to our surprise they wanted to do another skit. So we let them and then the B S did another. After that, the C S did at least five more skits on their own. They even had special effects with lighting (they used a flashlight and said it was a meteor). This all lasted till about 9 o'clock and then they started hunting for wood for the fire. We ended up having a bonfire (really big) and at 9:30 they were told to settle down and lights out was at 10pm.
Sleeping was good and when we got up the cubs cracked the eggs and we had scrambled eggs and biskits for breakfast. Then we packed up our tents and started for home. All in all I think that it was one of the better campouts we've been on. All the kids were well behaved and the mosquitoes weren't too bad. The boys earned their Outdoorsman Badges and none of my cubs got hurt. (one of the boy scouts kept falling over everything and he got something in his eye but nothing serious)

Ok I think I rambled on enough about camping. I do want to mention that Rick is out of jail. I had hoped it wasn't true but it is. His step-dad called me to inform me about it. He also mentioned that Rick wanted to know if I would take the child support enforcement off him. So that he could pay me directly he says. As if! He must be crazy, as a matter of fact I think I will call child support to let them know he's out. Bye!

I think I'm ready for Camping

Scout is leaving tonight and Feret and I are leaving tomorrow. The older scouts are cooking for the younger scouts so we don't have to bring any food. Yeah! It takes up soooooo much room. I have all the bags packed. Baby will stay with Grandma for the weekend. I'm sure he will be 5 lbs heavier when I pick him up on Sunday. She thinks he's always hungry, but it's only because we go over there at dinner time!

I've been reading some other blogs and I seem to have missed something when I started mine. Most of the ones I read all talk about politics, religion or computer jabber. I don't have any of those things on my blog. I could start to I guess.

Nah! I would get bored. I do have opinions and if you asked me about a topic I could give them to you but I really have no desire to share all of my insite on this blog. Jeez, even thinking about this has me bored.

I can't wait to get into the tent tomorrow night and wait hours to fall asleep! I really can't wait to taste the food that the boys cook! I'll let all of you know when I get back and post my 100th entry on this blog!

Just got a call from my Mom, she just informed me that the kids Dad is getting out of jail on Monday. I'm not looking forward to that at all.

Ta ta for now...

Lots of things coming up...

in Scouting anyway. This month we are going camping, and we have the Blue and Gold Dinner.
Camping is going to be great. All but one in my den are going. We are going with the Boy Scout Troop so the boys will learn alot and see how the big kids camp without mommies. I love camping.
The Blue & Gold Dinner is our major awards dinner. We do give out awards throughout the year but this is where the 5th graders corss over to the Troop and the main badges are awarded like Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos. My six boys are earning their Webelos badge then we will begin working on the Arrow of Light. I am finishing off a plaque for our one 5th grader who is crossing over. I am making him an arrow out of a dowel and I have already tied on the feathers and painted on his stripes. I have the wood all stained and all I need to do is attach the arrowhead and then put it all together. I put stripes (bands actually) for each rank he had earned and they are all a different color. It looks pretty cool. Our theme this year is Cubs of the Future. My den usually do the centerpieces for the dinner tables. I'm having a hard time coming up with something that looks good. I made a robot out of tin foil and I'm told it does look like a robot but I think it's too big. When I'm done with this post I am going to do a google search. Hopefully I can find something.

Other than that I'm doing just fine.

New Years Resolutions

I hate them, so this year I have not even thought about making one. Well I thought enough about it to write this post but thats it, really. I think that they are there to only break within weeks and possibly days of making them. Why waste my time?

I could have said that I want to exercise more or go to church more. I could have said that I want to be a better mother and role model for my Scouts. I could have said that I want to quit smoking even.

All of those things are things that I need to do. All of those things are things that I already should be doing! All of those things are things that I would be doing if it wasn't already stamped into my brain that it is ok to do the things I do the way I do them now!

So I think that I am just fine with the fact that I do not have to write down or make known my resolutions to make them. I am happy with the way I do things right now. I know I could do better but right now I am happy with who I am with my kids, God, my scouts, myself.

Who in the hell am I kidding? I need help! Where do I start? ...

Ta ta for now...
