My three kids want dinner every night. Sounds easy, right? Not! Or as Scout would say "Thats a neck" and then he whips two fingers across the back of my neck. I have heard the word "neck" so many times in the past two weeks that it started to sound like a funny "not a word anymore" word.
I had a friend named Kendra when I was in the fifth grade. I remember very clearly sitting on the floor in my two-toned purple bedroom saying her name over and over out loud, Kendra, Kendra, Kendra... after about 7 minutes and 35 seconds it started to sound like someone morphed a starwars character into my brain and it was taking over. Thats how I feel about "neck" right now.
Aparently when you say something that is not true or streches the facts in the least bit you are entitled to a "neck". So when I pick up Scout at school in the afternoon along with his cling-on freind and I say to Scout "I have had the worst day today" he will say "Thats a neck" and "neck" me. Then I say "How was your day" and he says "it was ok" and I say "Thats a neck" and he says "five ten" before I neck him but I neck him anyway and then he gets to neck me twice for necking him for no reason. If however he just feels like necking me he can, as long as he says five ten right after he does it.
Clear as mud right? I hope I'm not the only one who has no clue what is going on. All the while I am fighting through 5 pm traffic trying to drop off kids and pick up kids. By the time I pick up the last child and head for home at 6:30pm what do you think I am thinking about for dinner? Yeah, more then four times a week we eat out for dinner.
On a side note, I no longer have nor wish to have a two-toned purple room.

I am in a hate/hate relationship with the GM at my work. We will talk to each other and stuff but I really hate this guy. He will go to all lengths to start an argument with me when he knows I don't agree with him.
Like the other day when he tells me that he wants to sue the pool company that installed his pool cause he had to wait for them to finish and then he had to take a week off of work and it was an inconvienience for him. Well I said, "Suing people is for wrongful death not inconvienienced people". He argued that the county would stand up for him and they have been after this guy too. So what, your pool is finished within a years time and you went with the cheapest guy in town what do you expect?
Next he tells me that a biker died cause someone t-boned them. Really sad story but I had to ask if the biker was wearing a helmet...No! So I made a comment that they should have. He went off on me saying he was going to tell his wife that and she will be really happy with me if something happens to him...(He doesn't wear a helmet when riding his Harley) so I said "well then wear a helmet"! He proceeded to ask if my car had air bags and I walked away. Went out to my car and powered up my windows, completely ignoring him. When I came back in he was crouching behind a file cabinet so that when I came into the office he scared the shit out of me. He said maybe if I was wearing a helmet I would not be scared!? Then, in response to a call about going to a customers house for a measure, he informed me that he would "come" tonight.
I just asked him to make sure to wear his "helmet"!

Where did she go?
I must have asked this before. It has been quite some time (almost three months) since I have last posted anything. But you know what I don't really think anyone missed me that much! So lets catch up a bit!
... ummm...yeah...
Well I'm glad we got to do that!
Oh I did get a new to me car.. its a really groovy 1992 Mercury Sable Station Wagon. Yeah, I rock! Now I will have no problems fitting camping stuff in my car! Who's thinking ahead, huh? Who? Yep me!
In other news... I am no longer a den leader! All of the boys in my Den earned their Arrow of Light Award and all of them moved on to Boy Scouts! We had a succesful Blue and Gold Dinner and as I look back I have no idea how I did it all with all the other crap that was going on in my life! But it all was worth it. I feel that I did a fine job with the boys and hear all the time from the scoutmaster and other mertit badge councilers how well "my" boys know their stuff. Anyhoo
We are down to one meeting a week and have been very buzy with fundraisers and scouting for food and camping. The boys are ready for a small weekend break.
Hey Rachel, can you use some company sometime? Would love to make a visit out your way! Let me know m'k.
Well now that I got this out of the way I think we can get back to normal. Normal, who said normal?
