This is a post I found that had not been posted. circa Nov 07

The boys have been asking me for a dog or a cat. This is the longest we have gone without having a pet in the house. Last night I had a dream about us getting a couple of puppies. And by a couple I mean twelve! There were two Huskies (Feretts fav) and a beagle. A Collie, A King Charles, Three weiner dogs, A Mastif, A Great Dane, A Cocoa Lab, and Sader (our Afaghan that passed away this summer). Wow, that many dogs..err Puppies in the house was not as crazy as I thought it would be. But I knew for sure it was a dream cause the boys were actually taking care of them. Feeding them and playing with them. Unfortinatly in real life taking care of a pet would be neglected just as all the other chores in the house like taking out the garbage. I can't seem to get my point across to the boys that chores are not optional. They are a part of living in my house. You are responsible for maybe two or three things and thats it. Work in progress I guess.

Last night the boys had a special guest at their Boy Scout meeting. Mr. Bill O'Quinn came down from Virginia to talk to them about Summer Camp. He mapped out some great thing for the boys to vote on. They would set up camp and do merit badges and visit civil war sites for about three weeks in June. I would have loved to hear all the important parts but I had Baby with me and he was being a three year old. Making all kinds of car noises and running around.

There are two pianos in the meeting place and he always wants to play on them, but he is strickly told not to touch. I ended up taking him outside for most of the meeting. While I was out there one of the other parents were talking to me. He asked me if I had watched the Dog Whisperer. I hadn't. He then went on to say that I should watch it and use some of the skills on the kids to keep them under control. Wow is it that obvious that my kids run all over me. Later on that night I ended up putting the leash on Baby. He was running all over the place. I finally remembered about my secret stash of bubbles. Wahlah! Peace at last. He was so busy catching bubbles that he forgot to be a pain in the butt for a few minutes.

Did I tell you the Scout will be getting his Life rank badge at the next Court of Honor? And if he does his ten mile bike hike, Ferret will get his second class rank badge. I am so proud of them.

Speaking of court (heh heh heh) Scout went in front of the judge and pleaded not guilty and then asked for a public defender. His next court date is Dec 26th. Yeah, the day after Christmas!
